Getting started

  1. Install OnTime and open it.
  2. Tap Register and enter the invitation code your company gave you. The code decides your role — foreman, installer, service technician or driver.
  3. Allow notifications so you receive shift, delivery and task alerts.
  4. Allow location while using the app so check-in can confirm you are on site. You can decline — check-in then uses the site QR code instead.

Frequently asked questions

I don't have an invitation code

Codes are issued by your company's administrator or project manager. OnTime accounts cannot be self-created — ask your manager.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen tap Login → Forgot password. A reset code is emailed to the address on your account. If the email no longer exists, your administrator can reset it for you.

Check-in says I'm not on site

Each project has a radius around its address. If GPS puts you outside it, check-in is refused. Usual causes: you are at the wrong building, GPS has not settled yet (wait 15–30 seconds outdoors), or the project address needs correcting. Scanning the site QR code works even when GPS is poor.

The QR scanner won't open the camera

Go to your phone's Settings → OnTime → enable Camera. On iOS the scanner needs camera access every time the app is reinstalled.

My hours look wrong

Hours come from two sources: your check-in/out session and the daily report you submit. Where both exist for the same day, the report wins. Ask your foreman to correct the report — hours are payroll data and cannot be edited by installers.

I forgot to check out

A shift left open is closed automatically at the end of the working day, and your foreman is notified. Tell them the real finish time so the daily report is right.

How do I attach photos to a report or a defect?

Open the project → Quality or the daily report → Add photo. You can take a new photo or pick existing ones. iPhone HEIC photos are supported.

How do I report a defect for a subcontractor to fix?

Management and service roles post it in the project's Quality tab. The subcontractor gets a time-limited link — no account needed — where they see the defect list and upload proof of the fix.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check Settings → OnTime → Notifications is on. If you use Telegram alerts, re-link your Telegram account in your profile. Reinstalling the app requires re-enabling notifications.

Does the app work without internet?

You need a connection to check in, submit reports and upload photos. Screens you already opened stay readable offline, but new data will not sync until you are back online.
